Giovanni Tommaso Carattoni
Giovanni Tommaso Garattoni was born in Rimini, where he still lives and works. Architect, designer and graphic artist, in 1982 he was among the founders of the graphic and multimedia research studio ‘Complotto Grafico’, while in 1986 he was one of the young architects who founded the Bolidismo movement.
He is behind the architectural, scenographic and image designs of many of the most innovative premises on the Adriatic Riviera in the Emilia-Romagna region. He was also selected to show at the ‘New Italian Design’ exhibition, which was held in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Toronto in 1991.
In 1995, he was invited to ‘Abitare il Tempo’ where he presented ‘Snobbishness of Kitsch’. After various experiences as a co-ordinator in the fashion industry, in 1997 he developed the Veloset luggage collection.
