Pianissimo Basket (Stainless Steel Polished) - Alessi

The Pianissimo is a geometrically rich and complex in form basket created by the Australian designer Abi Alice for Alessi. The designer uses geometric artistic drawings as a basis to create three-dimensional sculptured objects, subjecting the sheet steel to successive cutting, folding and curving operations.

The rigidity and stability of the object is a result of the laser welding carried out by hand. The complexity of Pianissimo focuses the attention both on details and on the object as a whole, serving to embellish the contents of the basket and with it the simple gesture of offering.
