Der Kleine Lehner by Nils Holger Moormann is a gracefully light designed side table which can also be used as a shelf or a handy writing stand.
A uniquely flexible piece of furniture Der Kleine Lehner was designed in 2003 by Jörg Gätjens and is one of Nils Holger Moormann’s most iconic pieces. It can be leaned against any wall or stand on its own as a freestanding unit. It is set up easily and can be stored in a space-saving manner. If a third leg is assembled, it is possible to arrange Der Kleine Lehner in the room wherever needed. The stand offers a surface space large enough to hold a telephone, for example, and provides an area to take notes or browse quickly.
Our favorite design feature though, is that its peculiar style reminds us of lecterns. With a little imagination this elegant little furniture can be placed in virtually any room. Be it the entrance hall, the living room or even the bedroom, its sleek unobtrusive silhouette always seems to be in place. With its really simple yet timeless design Der Kleine Lehner is one of those objects that you know you got to have and will enjoy using it for a very long time.
Over the years Der Kleine Lehner has been distinguished with a number of Design Awards: Internationaler Designpreis Baden-Württemberg 2004, Focus Dialog in Silber Deutscher Designer Club ‚Das gute Stück‘ Aus-zeich–nung in Silber 2005
