The Extra Normal Wall Clock designed by Ross McBride for Japanese Normal Timepieces is sleek, elegant and utterly minimalist but at the same time flawlessly retains its practicality.
At first glance, an elegant, minimal wall clock. But things are not so simple. A subtle effect is taking place, as elusive numbers pass in and out of view. The “secret of the clock” is the ingenious “hour hand” that is actually a disk, with the hour hand shape reversed out, exposing the numbered face beneath. With this clever solution a subtle effect is taking place, as elusive numbers pass in and out of view.
We particularly love how the Extra Normal Wall Clock combines minimalism with the “form follows function” principle. Whereas most minimalist clocks have you guessing that time it is, the Extra Normal Wall Clock is uncluttered and sleek, without making it hard to tell the time.
It is made in Japan and available only in black OR white color, as it should be.
