“HIKKI” is a gastronomic Japanese restaurant with bar located in Osaka, Japan, that stands out for its austere yet serene and exquisite style.
It was designed by Alexander Yukhimets and its Interior is utterly minimalist with a subtle reference to modern Japanese architecture. The main material used is concrete, the extensive use of concrete defines the character of the space, grey becomes the dominant color, while the restrained use of other colors which gives the place an austere air.
The beauty of the design is in the details, carefully selected lighting, logos, faucets and bar stools complement an otherwise unadorned décor, clearly communicating a “less is more” design approach.
The center of the interior’s composition is a 5m wide bar counter with marble surface. The restaurant is 65 m2 big and is divided into several areas. Only natural materials were used, such as concrete, glass, metal and wood. “HIKKI” is situated in business district, what makes the restaurant suitable not only for gourmets but is also perfect for business meetings and tasty lunch breaks during the working day.
