rEvolution is an aesthetically eccentric and ergonomically different wine glass designed by Martin Jakobsen from the Czech Republic.
The aim of this unique wine glass is to introduce a new way of drinking, based on shifting the imbibing position from horizontal to vertical. Whether you’re a traditionalist and prefer a stemmed wine glass or you like the informality of a stemless glass, you’ll appreciate this innovative design by Martin Jakobsen.
The rEvolution’s angular placement of the stem on the side of the glass isn’t just revolutionary; it’s also practical for both pouring and drinking. “It is very practical to pour and drink – you will be surprised with your nose inside the glass.” says Martin. rEvolution was officially launched at the Formland event in Denmark which ran from the 12th to the 15th of January 2012.
Jakobsen Design was founded in 2010 by the Czech product designer Martin Jakobsen. His work is mainly influenced by minimalism and a penchant for finding innovative solutions. He currently he continues his studies at the Technical – Department of Design. Brand philosophy is based on detailed work in terms of creating a simple, yet functional and aesthetic design. In 2011 he became a designer t Danish Mojoo and he was nominated for the Elle Decoration International Design Awards.
