As Part of an upcoming exhibition called Works in China – Part 1 Design Art, Michael Young designed a series of glass vases for Chinese Tittot which surprises with its innovative and complex design.
In order to create the impressive Co-constructions Series, Micheal Young drew inspiration from the ancient Chinese architectural structure. Michael Young applies his iconic use of bright colors to the collection, injecting modern culture into the Chinese aesthetic. Tittot was the ideal partner for implementing such multifarious designs, as the company is known for producing the most exquisite and artistic glass works inspired by the Chinese culture, using the most advanced casting techniques.
Michael Young is known for his passion for advanced technology, so he designed a series of vases with incredible details with the aid of specialized software. These complicated structures were realized by using Tittot’s traditional wax casting technique. These magnificent vases reflect an ever-changing image of light and shadow. The Co-constructions Series truly draw a balance between the ancient and contemporary beauty while embracing the East and West aesthetics at the same time.
Young’s artistic vase design will be produced in limited numbers, and will surely prove to be future classics. The Tittot x Michael Young Vase Collection is available exclusively at Lane Crawford Times Square, Lane Crawford Pacific Place home store, and Lane Crawford Canton Road.
